Are you interested in becoming a member of the
East Hillsborough Bar Association?
It is important for attorneys to develop connections in their community. The East Hillsborough Bar Association provides a forum for local attorneys to network with each other, judges, law students, and other legal professionals in the area allowing them to develop better working relationships and job satisfaction.
Monthly Meetings: Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month during the lunch hour. One meeting a quarter is held in the evening to accommodate those attorneys who have a hard time meeting during lunch. Meetings generally encompass Bar business and speakers- including local judges, attorneys, CLE presenters or other topics of interest to our profession.
CLE Opportunities: CLE opportunities are offered twice yearly free of charge to members.
Online Directory Inclusion/Referrals: All members are listed in our online directory by practice area. Members of the public who call or email looking for attorney referrals are given three names of member attorneys on a rotating basis.
Community Service Opportunities: At least two community service opportunities are provided a year that are located in Brandon for the Brandon community in a group setting.
Public Speaking/Publishing Opportunities: Members are given the opportunity to volunteer to speak/present on a chosen area of law at our Brandon Library Ask-A-Lawyer Series designed to educate the public on a pro bono basis. Members are also encouraged to submit original articles for inclusion on our website and/or monthly newsletter to members.
Strictly Social Opportunities: Social events are also provided including our Annual Holiday Party.
Members find being a part of the East Hillsborough Bar Association gives them a greater sense of purpose in our profession. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact us to see about joining us at a meeting as a visitor. We will make sure you are welcomed and all of your questions are answered.
